Savvy business owners who take advantage of Internet marketing realize there is a fine line between marketing and spam and orchestrate their marketing campaigns to gain the maximum amount of exposure without running the risk of being viewed as spam. The definition of spam is open to interpretation but most people agree on the fact that spam is equivalent to junk mail you receive at your residence.

In general spam is unsolicited emails which are part of an advertising campaign. The term spam can also apply to message board postings which are posted solely for advertising purposes. This article will examine the differences between effective Internet marketing and spam.

First we will consider the use of message boards for the purpose of Internet marketing. Message boards are essentially online meetings places for Internet users who share a particular interest to exchange idea, ask or answer questions or just socialize. These message boards allow users to register and post messages.

Most message boards have asset of guidelines which the users must follow when making posts. These guidelines may vary widely with some being very strict about acceptable content and others not being nearly as strict. It is important to follow these guidelines because failure to do so may result in the moderators deleting your account and other members not paying much attention to your posts.

While I am waiting for my Ezine Article(s) to post, I got to thinking that once I locate the correct vehicle, I can just repeat the process again and again until I have built up a healthy monthly income. I can only hope that my theory proves to be correct. Being positive has helped me overcome a lot of adversity in this lifetime so far, I don’t see why this should be any different.

Whew! This internet marketing thing is harder than I thought. That’s good though, because if it was too easy, it might be suspect. It seems that nothing good in life comes easy does it?

Anyway… back to the matter at hand, article marketing. I figured that after purchasing Honest Riches, I should take this affiliate marketing thing one step at a time. I decided that article marketing would be my first attempt at earning money online.

It seems straight forward enough. Write an article, include your affiliate links(s), publish it and get paid. Well… in theory it is simple.

Everyone says that Ezine Articles is the best (and most respected) article directory on the net, so this is where I started. But, before I did, I thought, “There has to be some article writing experts online that I can consult.” So before I actually started to write my first article, I did some more research and came up with this:

Step By Step – How to get the MOST out of an Ezine Article!

How to get the most traffic from an article.

Okay – this method is assuming you submit all of your articles to EZA, with a good title, good article content, and a good resource box.

1st Step: Open up Word Pad – or whatever you like to use. The program you use must be easy to copy and paste that is really the only requirement.

* Type out the keywords you are going to target in your article and separate them with commas. — press enter a few times

* Create your title — then press enter a few times.

* Create your article summary — press enter a few times

* TYPE THE ARTICLE —- and press enter a few more times.

* Then of course type up your resource box.

Each part of writing an article is equally important do not neglect anything. Once you are done SAVE YOUR ARTICLE TO YOUR COMPUTER.

2nd Step: Submit your article to EZA. (ezinearticles.com) This should be easy because you just saved it to your computer. (The reason for pressing enter a few times between the different parts of the article was to help you stay organized.)

3rd Step: Wait one week – my favorite step for my method to market an article : cool:

4th Step: After that week has passed you are going to do some more with that article. Go back to your original article which you saved on your computer and copy your resource box. Then yes you guessed it press enter a few more times and paste it below the original one.

You are going to make some slight changes – on this resource box make one of the links point to your approved EZA article, and let the other still point to your web page. Once you have completed this…

5th Step: Submit your article with your new resource box (the one with one link pointing to your EZA article and the other pointed to the site that you are trying to promote) to the following 10 sites:

Wrap up: Ok I know what you are thinking submitting your article to all these sites is going to be time consuming… Really it is not too bad once you have your username and password to all of these sites.

You have everything at your fingertips because your article is saved to your computer!

The traffic that ends up going to your EZA article and ultimately the website you are trying to promote grows exponentially and it is definitely going to be worth your time. I wish good fortune to everyone marketing online and I hope everyone has success.

A blog (a contraction of the term “web log“) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Is your head spinning yet? I know mine is. There are more terms, believe me, but I will concentrate on these for now.

Article marketing looks like a good place to start. It seems fairly simple and if done correctly, can produce results pretty quick (I hope.)

My first investment in my new online career has been Honest Riches by Holly Mann. What an eye-opener! I am learning all kinds of new things. I am learning about building hyper links, blogging, article writing, e-mail marketing, forum posting, seo, back linking, I could go on and on, but my head is already spinning! Up until a few days ago, all this stuff was like Greek to me anyway. I’m not so sure I am any better off now. lol

It turns out that there are so many different ways to market online. The more I learn the more it seems like you have to try and focus and stick to one thing. I can see how I can be easily distracted in this business. I am glad I have chosen affiliate marketing. At least I won’t be so confused with all these options.

Honest Riches is like 10 books in one. There are also videos and the course itself is quite comprehensive. It looks like I will need some hand holding, so I am glad Holly also has a forum in which to discuss successes and failures. Really interesting stuff to be sure.

Internet marketing sure is a smart way to make money online that’s for sure. Now it’s time to start implementing some of this stuff.

The past several days have been a whirlwind of research and long hours online. After thorough research, I have decided to invest in my first book called “Honest Riches” by Holly Mann.

The guide looks to be very comprehensive and seems right up my ally. If  I don’t like it, I have 60 days to return it. Sounds fair enough. It looks like I will be doing a ton of reading here soon. I look forward to learning as much as I can about internet and affiliate marketing. I hope I can put some of these techniques into practice right away.

Holly Mann is in her twenties and has a young son. She started off in the military and traveled extensively. Being a single mom, she stumbled across internet marketing as a way to support her and her son after her military stint was over.

She has written an e-book called “Honest Riches.” This looks interesting to me because her book teaches you how to do internet marketing (more specifically affiliate marketing) and isn’t terribly expensive. Holly reveals her methods in making over $10,000 per month with internet marketing. Sounds good to me!

I am not one to jump into anything, so I will do some more due diligence and we’ll see what happens.

It looks like there is no end to the amount of review sites I am coming across. This may or may not be a money making technique in and of itself. Only time will tell. I am also seeing different definitions by sites that look like they actually offer “affiliate programs.”

A site called Commission Junction has a very nice definition of affiliate marketing and I have been spending all day just looking at what they have to offer and how I may sell it later. I have no idea how, and I have no idea what these terms mean. Things like affiliate link, banner advertising, e-mail marketing, swipe etc. I suppose as I learn, I will become familiar with these and many other terms yet undiscovered.
